Your responsibilities as Finance Manager
The role includes travel to our office in Boden once per month. The duration will vary between three to five working days.
Overall responsibility for commercial areas within finance, controlling, accounting, and administration
Strategic and operational responsibility for procurement, including supplier selection, negotiation management, and contract governance
Commercial management of service projects (quotations/calculations, order tracking, cost tracking, change order management, invoicing)
Ensure financial execution of projects across all project phases
Production controlling, including cost centers, contribution margins, and make-or-buy analyses
Budget planning, liquidity management, and financing management
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to local GAAP
Further develop controlling and reporting structures (project-, production-, and results-oriented controlling)
Support/strategic sparring partner to management for strategic, financial, and operational decisions
Primary contact for tax advisors, auditors, and authorities
Interface function with SMS Group's central departments, such as supply chain, finance, taxes, etc.
We are looking for a candidate with the following profile
Completed studies in business economics, industrial economics/engineering, or equivalent education
Several years of professional experience in a senior commercial role, preferably in construction or mechanical engineering
Strong knowledge of strategic and operational procurement
Experience in commercial project management and production and project controlling
Very strong knowledge of accounting (local GAAP/IFRS) and cost accounting
Strong communication and persuasion skills
Entrepreneurial mindset, practical hands-on mentality, and high personal sense of responsibility
Experienced and confident in using ERP systems and controlling tools
Swedish fluency in speech and writing is required, as there are many contacts with authorities, etc.
English fluency in speech and writing is advantageous, as there is extensive contact with the parent company in Germany.
