Lapplands Municipality Association is a collaboration between the municipalities of Kiruna, Gällivare, Jokkmokk, and Pajala. The association is responsible for important public functions including upper secondary education, adult education, energy and climate advisory services, procurement, and personal ombudsmen. Within the association, approximately 350 employees work together to create value for both individuals and society.
Our association office is decentralized, giving you flexibility to be based in Kiruna, Gällivare, Jokkmokk, or Pajala.

WORK TASKS
Our current economist will soon move on to another assignment, and we are looking for a new employee and colleague for our organization. As an economist with us, you will work broadly, and you like to get stuck in where needed.
Your work tasks include ongoing accounting administration such as daily bookkeeping, receipts and payments, customer and supplier accounts receivable, etc. You will also work together with the controller, upper secondary school principal, and adult education principal to provide financial support to core operations in their daily operational finance work. You will participate in budget and annual report work as well as in the development of accounting routines, processes, and methods.
You will, in dialogue with the controller and association director, have the opportunity to influence the focus and emphasis of these work tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have an academic degree in economics or a degree as a Certified Public Accountant. We are primarily looking for you who have good knowledge of accounting. We would like to see that you have at least a few years of experience working with budgets, forecasts, follow-up, and analysis in public sector operations. Experience in project accounting is also an advantage.
You have good computer skills and an interest in how IT support can be used to simplify and improve work. You master the Office package, primarily Excel, and experience with Agresso/Unit4 ERP is an advantage. A driving license is a requirement.
Your characteristics
In the role as an economist with us, you need to be able to work independently while seeing the benefits of collaboration and cooperation. You have a natural ability to collaborate and build trustful relationships.
You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We also assume good pedagogical and analytical skills and that you have an easy time explaining economic contexts to non-economists.
Employment form: Permanent employment.
Duration: Indefinite, start date: 2026-11-01.
