About the Assignment
As an EHS Specialist, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and following up on the organization's work within environment, workplace environment, health, and safety. You work closely with operations to identify risks, drive improvement efforts, and ensure that the organization meets both internal and external requirements. The role involves extensive networking and includes collaboration with management, engineers, employees, authorities, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes for environment, health, and safety
Identify, analyze, and prevent risks in the work environment
Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents and propose corrective measures
Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines
Plan and conduct training on workplace environment and safety
Conduct audits, inspections, and follow-ups
Drive improvement initiatives within safety culture and sustainability
Collaborate with authorities, environmental organizations, and other external stakeholders
About You
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and solution-oriented. You have a strong safety mindset, good analytical skills, and thrive in a role with many contact points. You are communicative, pedagogical, and have the ability to build trust with both internal and external stakeholders.
Relevant higher education in environment, workplace environment, safety, engineering, or equivalent
Several years of experience working in Environmental, Health & Safety
Strong knowledge of workplace environment and environmental legislation
Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and preventive safety work
Experience with internal audits and training initiatives
Good documentation and reporting skills
Very good Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written
Meriting: Experience from manufacturing industry as well as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
