The position is located in the Infrastructure and Building Department, which handles municipal-wide issues such as strategic and physical planning, regulatory authority in environmental and building matters, and regional development. This department also holds overall responsibility for the municipality's technical infrastructure including waste management and sanitation, water and wastewater, streets, roads, and parks. The department works on behalf of the Municipal Executive Board and the Infrastructure and Building Committee.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an operations technician at Gnesta Municipality, you will have a stimulating and varied role where you work with significant independence and the opportunity to influence outcomes. You will be part of an engaged team that together ensures our residents receive safe and sustainable water every day.
In this role, you will work with water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems, with the main focus on operating our water treatment plants.
The tasks are varied and include operations and supervision, preventive maintenance, and sampling. Our modern and well-developed monitoring system gives you excellent conditions to follow processes and make the right decisions in your daily work. You will also have the opportunity to participate in development work and various projects that drive the operation forward. On-call duty is part of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• Experience working as an operations technician in water and wastewater operations
• Or other qualifications that the employer deems equivalent
• Technical skills
• Computer skills
• Class B driver's license
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language
It is meritorious if you have:
• Training as an operations technician or process technician
• Education in control and regulation technology
• Experience and knowledge of water treatment and purification plant processes, process technology
• Class BE driver's license
Employment Type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-10-19 or by agreement.
