We are now recruiting a facilities technician with environmental focus for the recycling park in Stenkullen. The position is a permanent employment and comprises 100%. The recycling park in Stenkullen is a modern recycling facility with a focus on reuse and recycling located at Tollestropsvägen 25 centrally in Stenkullen in Lerum Municipality. The work team currently consists of six people including a supervisor. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As an employee at the recycling park, you will have varied work alongside pleasant colleagues. The role involves you being the municipality's face outward within waste management and an important environmental educator in meeting our customers. Our customers should always feel confident that we handle their waste in the best possible way for the environment. You will be part of driving the facility toward better sorting and reduced waste volumes to reduce the carbon footprint of Lerum residents. Daily work involves active customer interaction and managing the recycling park's operations and maintenance in an efficient, economical, and environmentally responsible manner. Since the customer is the focus at our recycling park, it is important that you provide excellent service. Through guidance and information, customers will have learned more about recycling and reuse when they leave the facility. Work takes place mainly outdoors with some administrative work performed in an office environment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a high school diploma who is social and enjoys meeting people. You are thorough, engaged, and self-directed and have an interest in the environment and recycling. You have a responsible approach and can follow applicable safety procedures and occupational health regulations. In interactions with visitors, you are confident and professional and can handle even conflicts and challenging situations in a calm and respectful manner. It is meritorious if you have: • Forklift certification • Good Swedish in speech and writing • Experience with operations, maintenance, recycling, waste management, or similar practical work • Good physical fitness and comfort with practical tasks and outdoor work in varying weather conditions • Experience taking responsibility for daily operations • Basic computer skills and experience using digital systems • Knowledge of sorting, recycling, and environmental issues.
