Now our colleague is retiring and therefore we are seeking an additional operations technician for our operations unit within the Water and Wastewater business area. About the role With us you get varied and independent work where you combine technology, problem-solving, and practical work. At the same time, you become part of a team that helps each other and develops the business together. As an operations technician, you work with operations, monitoring, preventive maintenance, and development of our water facilities throughout Hässleholm municipality. You follow the facilities' processes and work both preventively and problem-solving to ensure continuous operations. Your role and responsibilities In your work you will, among other things: monitor processes and track facility operations perform monitoring and sampling troubleshoot and handle problems that arise in operations work with preventive maintenance contribute to development and improvement of our facilities You become part of our operations unit and together with other operations technicians, work leaders, lab and process engineers, and a KMA administrator, you work for stable and safe operations every day. Your primary area of responsibility is our water operations, but when needed you also support your colleagues at our wastewater treatment facilities. Despite community and collaboration, the role also entails significant independent responsibility and parts of your workday you work independently at our facilities. Who you are We are looking for someone who likes to understand how things work and enjoys taking on practical and technical problems. You don't need to know everything from the start; we consider it more important that you have a relevant foundation to stand on, an interest in technology, and a willingness to learn our business. To be considered for the position, you need to have: post-secondary education with a technical focus, or equivalent competence that you have acquired through work experience good computer skills and be comfortable with a digital way of working good Swedish in speech and writing Class B driver's license, manual transmission It is meritorious for us if your education is focused on, for example, water and wastewater, operations technology, process technology, or other relevant technical areas. We also view positively experience with operations and maintenance of technical facilities as well as work with control and monitoring systems. As a person you are thorough, proactive, and team-oriented. Meticulousness is important because we work with drinking water and processes where quality and safety need to be in focus. You take responsibility for your tasks and respond when you notice that something is not working as it should. You are also proactive and enjoy solving problems. When something happens in operations you try to understand the cause, find a way forward, and seek help when the situation requires it. At the same time, you are a team player. Although much of the work is done independently, you are part of a team where we share knowledge, communicate with each other, and help each other when needed. Because you need to travel between different facilities in the role, a Class B driver's license with manual transmission is required.
