Duties and Responsibilities
As an operations engineer, you are responsible for operating the facility safely, stably, and efficiently. You work both from the control room and out in the facility where you monitor processes, analyze operational data, and handle technical challenges when they arise.
The work involves significant independent responsibility while being part of an experienced operations team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday work.
Examples of Tasks
• Monitor and control the power plant's processes, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure optimal operations by tracking production and process data.
• Conduct rounds, inspections, and function tests throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoot and manage operational disruptions to quickly restore safe and stable operations.
• Participate in planning and execution of maintenance and overhaul work.
• Issue work permits and help ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Contribute to improvement and development work to optimize facility performance.
• Work in shifts together with other operations team members.
Your Profile
We believe you are someone who enjoys understanding how complex technical systems work and who feels a natural responsibility for things to function as they should.
You remain calm and methodical when situations require quick decisions, while maintaining a strong safety mindset and thriving in close collaboration with others.
Qualifications
• Several years of experience as an operations engineer or in similar roles within energy production or process industry.
• Experience from combined heat and power, power production, or other advanced process operations.
• Experience working in a control room environment.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Technical education in energy, operations, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Driver's license category B.
