Your Workplace
Café & Butik Träffpunkten is a café and kiosk operation within Meal Services located adjacent to the main entrance of Centralsjukhuset in Karlstad. The operation is an important meeting place with approximately 1,000 visitors per day. The team consists of eight employees who prepare simple dishes and baked goods, sell café and kiosk items, and handle daily orders from hospital departments.
Your Responsibilities
The role involves both practical work in the café and kiosk operation and administrative tasks. You will lead and allocate daily work, manage operational issues and disruptions, and contribute to developing the operation.
As operations manager, you are responsible for leading and organizing daily work in the café and kiosk operation. You work closely with the daily operations alongside the team and ensure excellent customer service and quality even during peak hours. The role includes handling issues and operational disruptions proactively and solution-focused, as well as introducing and training new employees.
You will also perform administrative tasks and work in relevant systems. The role involves contact with internal and external customers as well as suppliers, including participation in procurement tasks and cross-regional development work within Meal Services. You also contribute to ensuring that routines, safety, and governance documents are followed and developed according to operational needs.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are looking for someone with upper secondary education or equivalent and at least three years of experience working in service. You have good computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as a strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have previous experience managing a café, kiosk, shop, restaurant, or other comparable service operation, as well as experience with cash register work and cash handling.

You find it easy to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with many people.
