About the Job We are now looking for an operations manager who wants to help ensure efficient and well-functioning waste collection in Lidköping. As one of two operations managers, you will have a central role in daily operations. Waste collection is facing several changes and improvements. Municipal waste currently includes food waste, residual waste and packaging, and sorting requirements are increasing. This means new working methods and new conditions for daily operations. As an operations manager, you will have an important role in implementing these changes in practice and contributing to safe, efficient and well-functioning collection. Responsibilities As one of two operations managers, you are responsible for leading and coordinating daily operations within waste collection. This includes, among other things: * leading and allocating daily work for drivers * planning and coordinating operational activities * handling and following up on deviations in collection * contacting customers on matters requiring operational judgment * planning and conducting customer visits and other practical activities * monitoring vehicles and other prerequisites for daily operations * working with occupational health and safety in daily operations * documenting and following up on incidents and deviations in the management system * contributing to developing routines and working methods within collection * participating in development and improvement work within operations * collaborating with the operations manager, colleagues and other functions within Lidköping miljö och teknik AB Work is mainly conducted during daytime, Monday to Friday. Operations start as early as 05:30, which means early mornings will occur. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is confident, clear and structured and who enjoys working close to daily operations. You find it easy to create order and prioritize when multiple things happen at once. As an operations manager, you need to be able to give clear directions, follow up to ensure work is completed, and create good cooperation with employees. You are responsive and solution-oriented and have the ability to handle both everyday questions and situations requiring quick decisions. You communicate in a clear and respectful manner and build trust by being present and keeping your promises. You also have the ability to see the bigger picture and understand how daily operations affect our customers, the work environment and the quality of our operations. We are looking for you with: * education in logistics, environment, engineering or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent * experience in management or similar operational leadership * good communication skills and ease of collaboration * ability to work structurally and prioritize in an eventful day * good digital skills and experience working in management systems It is meritorious if you have: * experience in management within transport, logistics, waste or similar operations * experience in occupational health and safety work * C-class driver's license * YKB * experience with the EDP Future management system Other Information The position is a full-time temporary assignment with start date by agreement. The temporary assignment runs from 20260921-20280830. For the right person, there may be an opportunity for continued employment and future permanent employment. B-class driver's license is a requirement. Interviews are planned for weeks 41, 42 but may take place continuously during the application period.
