Business Description: Dormsjö School is a residential care facility (HVB) for boys aged 7-23 years. We are located in Southern Dalarna, just north of Hedemora, and operate our own independent school. Children and youth live in five beautifully situated houses, near a nice bathing lake and exciting forests. Here there are opportunities for fun activities and quiet moments, with caring adults to turn to. Target Group: Boys with neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as social and emotional difficulties. We are licensed for 28 children/youth and our license covers placements supported by the Social Services Act (SoL), Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and Services and Support Act (LSS). Job Description: Our work approach is based on creating predictability and routines in a structured environment by giving the day, week, and year a clear recurring structure. We assess each child/youth's abilities and difficulties. These assessments and care plans form the basis for an implementation plan tailored to each child/youth's needs. The work primarily involves treatment and motivational work with children/youth. Personal care is also a regular part of the duties. The goal is to help children and youth achieve independent living with successful schooling. Treatment work is individually adapted to each child/youth's needs and circumstances. Social skills training, anger management, low-arousal approaches, solution-focused conversations, social stories, and visual supports are some of the methods we use. We are looking for someone who is creative and enjoys physical activity, is passionate about working with children and youth with special needs, and is skilled at building trusting and positive relationships. The position requires that you are confident, solution-focused, stress-resilient, and have great patience. Qualifications: A degree in Social/Treatment Pedagogy or equivalent education is required.
