Project Description Research Field: Computer Science Social media platforms moderate content using classifiers trained on contested values. The goal of this project is to develop algorithms that select and rank content based on collective consensus, using only interaction data and without editorial judgment. The underlying methods will be based on axiomatic approaches, collective decision-making theory (social choice theory), and human-AI collaboration. Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program, WASP, is Sweden's largest single research program in modern times. The program creates a platform for academic research and education in close collaboration with leading Swedish technology-intensive industry. The research encompasses artificial intelligence and autonomous systems that work in collaboration with humans and adapt to their environment using sensors, information and knowledge, creating intelligent systems of systems. Learn more The WASP Graduate School aims to provide future researchers with the necessary knowledge to analyze, develop, and actively contribute to the interdisciplinary development of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and software. Through an ambitious program featuring research visits, partner universities, and guest lecturers, the graduate school actively supports the development of a strong multidisciplinary and international professional network among PhD students, researchers, and industry. The graduate school thus offers a unique opportunity for students attracted to world-class international research with industrial relevance. More information The PhD position is funded by WASP Supervision: Prof. Aristides Gionis is proposed as the PhD student's advisor. Final decision is made upon admission.
