Täby Djurhälsa AB is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented animal care technician for our clinic in Täby.
About the Position
We are looking for a responsible and engaged animal care technician for our small animal veterinary care operations.
With us, you will work alongside veterinarians and other clinic staff to provide care and handling of primarily dogs and cats.
We are looking for someone with relevant education and/or experience in animal care, veterinary care, biomedicine, or veterinary medicine who wants to develop within clinical small animal veterinary care.
Job Responsibilities
As an animal care technician with us, you will, among other things:
take in and handle dogs and cats in a safe and professional manner
assist veterinarians during examinations and treatments
prepare patients for examination and treatment
work with patient care and nursing
assist with sampling and sample handling within the scope of applicable regulations and instructions
perform routine laboratory work according to clinic procedures
prepare treatment and surgical spaces
assist during surgery and other clinical procedures
perform patient monitoring according to instruction and delegation
work with hygiene, cleaning, and maintenance of the clinic's facilities and equipment
document and register patient information
participate in daily clinical operations
collaborate with veterinarians and other clinic staff.
Job responsibilities will be adapted based on the employee's education, experience, and tasks that may be performed under Swedish law.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
relevant education in animal care, veterinary care, biomedicine, veterinary medicine, or equivalent
experience working with animals or in clinical settings
interest in small animal veterinary care
good ability to work carefully and methodically
good collaborative skills
ability to work independently after introduction and instruction
a professional and respectful approach to animals, animal owners, and colleagues.
Meritorious Qualifications
It is advantageous to have:
academic education in biomedicine or biomedical analysis
two years or equivalent post-secondary education in a biomedical field
university studies in veterinary medicine
previous experience from a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
experience with laboratory work, sampling, and sample handling
experience with anesthesia, surgery, or patient monitoring
experience working with dogs and cats
international education or work experience
good English language skills.
Languages
Good Swedish language skills are advantageous. We would appreciate it if you are motivated to develop your Swedish language skills.
Good English language skills are desirable as medical and scientific materials in the field are often in English.
Additional language skills are advantageous.

Terms of Employment
Employment type: Permanent position. Probation period may apply.
Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Salary: 35000 kronor per month before tax.
Work hours: Scheduled working hours according to operational needs and applicable collective agreement.
Start date: December 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Workplace: Täby Djurhälsa AB, Täby.
Collective Agreement: Gröna arbetsgivare – Veterinary Care, workers.
The position is covered by a collective agreement and collectively agreed insurance and pension solutions.
