Primary Care West (PV West) is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers collaborate closely within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional transportation make commuting to, from, and between our units possible. Within PV West, clinical teaching services are provided at Backen Health Center. The base unit, together with the Faculty of Medicine at Umeå University and Family Medicine at Region Västerbotten, is responsible for clinical research where student education within healthcare programs is integrated into daily operations. Within PV West, several physicians combine their role with patient-focused clinical work and research. Backen Health Center is located on Umedalen in Umeå and has approximately 45 employees. The role of District Physician at Backen Health Center offers an exciting and varied assignment for you as a specialist in general medicine. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a District Physician with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. You play a key role in offering security and high-quality care throughout the patient's life. This means caring for and treating a broad spectrum of health problems, even those not caused by a definable disease. Job responsibilities span from child health care (BVC) to elderly care (residential facilities and home care). Within your competence, you thus meet people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, where you independently assess and treat them. You will be an important part of our physician team within the base unit, where collegial collaboration and participation in development work are encouraged. The unit has ongoing long-term improvement work focused on wise clinical choices and prioritization of chronically ill patients with the help of primary care quality. Your role also includes collaboration with other professional groups, where you for example participate in assessment teams together with district nurses and nursing assistants. You mentor medical students, ST physicians (specialty training), and AT physicians (general practice training). Work at the Primary Care Emergency Unit (PVA), primary care on-call duty, and rounds at residential facilities and/or family centers as well as rotation within the base unit may occur. In this assignment, you are given the opportunity to, based on your profession, work at the top of your competence to help ensure that residents' needs are met. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist physician in general medicine. If you have genuine experience with or a habit of mentoring medical students and AT/ST physicians and/or interest in research, that is meritorious. You are a present and positive person who with expert knowledge and care sees the patient and contributes to a holistic perspective that makes the care process better and safer. Furthermore, we would like to see that you are flexible and easily adapt your work based on the organization's changing conditions and keep yourself updated on knowledge shared in the work group and procedures applicable at the workplace. You see the value in collegial collaboration and together with your colleagues you work toward a good culture at the workplace. You strive to see solutions even under high workload. You are able to both give and receive constructive feedback. If you have previously worked in the Cosmic medical records system, that is valuable. For placement within Primary Care, you are required to have a B driver's license as you will in your clinical role work as on-call backup and conduct home visits.
