The Skellefteå Local Healthcare Area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Operating Activities, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work to provide good and accessible care. Norsjö Health Center is part of Skellefteå Primary Care West, along with Erikslid, Heimdall, and Boliden Health Centers. In Norsjö Municipality, with approximately 4,000 residents, our health center is located. Most of the municipality's residents are registered with us. Our team consists of approximately 20 employees with diverse areas of expertise who work together to provide the population with good and accessible care. Our rehabilitation team works successfully with assessment, treatment, and sick leave matters. We offer patients with mental health issues contact with the psychosocial team. The facility also houses a child health clinic and a midwifery clinic. Together with two district doctor colleagues, you work with rural medicine. Together you provide the population with continuity and security when they need medical care. The specialty of general medicine is characterized by meeting the patient throughout life. The competence includes meeting people of all ages with all types of health-related problems and independently assessing and treating these. In specialist general medicine work, one should also follow an individual's various health problems over time and, in assessing health problems, take into account the person's entire life situation. The fact that the health center is located 50 km from the nearest hospital makes the work even more varied and challenging than what can be offered at a health center in an urban area. You work largely independently, but teamwork with doctor colleagues and other professions occurs as a natural part of the work. With us, you have the opportunity to supervise AT-, BT-, and ST-doctors as well as students to become future colleagues. On-call service in primary care is included in the position.
