Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Team Lead We are now seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Team Lead consultant for FLIR Systems. About the Role FLIR Systems is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for the Embedded Systems department. The current DevOps team consists of three engineers whose main responsibilities are to develop, maintain, and further enhance the company's software production environments, including tools, infrastructure, and automation solutions. Software development encompasses both Linux and Android platforms. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical DevOps work with team leadership responsibilities for the DevOps team. About the Organization The camera software organization currently supports several different teams and technical areas, including: Embedded OS Embedded Application SDK FPGA Production Software The teams work closely together, and project groups typically consist of members from several different technical disciplines. As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate closely with these development teams as well as with other parts of FLIR that need support with software production environments. You will also work closely with FLIR's global IT organization. Responsibilities and Tasks In addition to hands-on DevOps work, the role includes functioning as Team Lead for the DevOps team. Your main areas of responsibility include: Plan, prioritize, and drive the team's activities. Coordinate work between multiple stakeholders and teams. Contribute to the strategic development of the DevOps function. Ensure stable operations and continuous improvements of internal systems and services. Lead initiatives in automation, infrastructure, and software delivery processes. Responsible for operations and maintenance of several internally managed systems and services. Actively contribute to the development and optimization of the organization's DevOps environment. Qualifications We are looking for someone with documented experience in the following areas: Administration and support of Linux and macOS clients and servers in a software development environment. Python programming, scripting, and automation. Development and support of cloud-based services and applications, such as AWS and/or Azure. Working in a mature DevOps environment. Documented experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CD), including methods, tools, and best practices. Integration and automation via REST APIs for platforms and tools such as: Bitbucket Jenkins Artifactory GitLab JIRA Documentation of systems, processes, configurations, and operational procedures. Good understanding of IP networking and basic network troubleshooting. Administration and operations of virtualized server environments based on VMware. Experience working with ticketing/issue management systems. Experience administering and operating VMware-based virtualized server environments is particularly valuable. Very strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. AI-Driven Development Work The team actively uses AI-based and AI-assisted tools in daily development work. Therefore, it is a requirement that you have practical experience using AI tools and AI-based solutions as part of your daily engineering work. You are also expected to take an active role in driving and developing the use of AI-based working methods within development and DevOps.
