DevOps Team Lead at Customer First
About Us
At Customer First, we're building the next generation platform for customer service, with AI, automation, and modern cloud infrastructure at the core.
Our platform is used daily by companies where availability, performance, and security are critical. Behind it lies a modern technical environment featuring Kubernetes, GitOps, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
We're currently over 30 people and continuing to grow. Now we're looking for a DevOps Team Lead who wants to take long-term technical responsibility for our platform and help us build the next phase of our DevOps function.
The Role
This is a role for someone who still wants to be hands-on, while also having the opportunity to influence architecture, working methods, and technical decisions.
You'll work closely with the development team and play a central role in how we build, operate, and further develop our infrastructure. The focus is on creating a stable, scalable, and automated platform where we can grow quickly without compromising on quality or availability.
Initially, the DevOps team consists of two people. The ambition is for the team to grow over time, and you'll have the opportunity to set structure, working methods, and technical direction from the start.
You will, among other things
Design and further develop our Kubernetes platform
Work with scalability, availability, and performance in production
Automate provisioning, deployment, and operations
Further develop our CI/CD and GitOps environment
Work with monitoring, logging, and observability
Operate and optimize SQL databases in large, high-availability environments
Improve how we handle incidents, redundancy, and recovery
Make technical decisions regarding cloud infrastructure and platform architecture
Set standards and best practices for DevOps together with the development team
In the longer term, help recruit, coach, and develop the DevOps team
We Believe You Have
Several years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production
Good understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems
Experience with CI/CD, for example GitHub Actions
Experience with monitoring and observability, for example Prometheus and Grafana
Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or equivalent cloud platform
Experience with SQL databases in production environments
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and understand the full chain from infrastructure to application
Strong technical interest and desire to improve, automate, and simplify
You don't need to have been a manager before. What matters most is that you have the technical depth and willingness to take on greater responsibility over time.
Extra Plus
We'll be extra interested if you have experience with any of the following:
MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL in replicated or clustered environments
Argo CD and GitOps
Terraform, OpenTofu, or other Infrastructure as Code
Helm or Kustomize
JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or SQL
Kubernetes operators and stateful workloads
High availability and multi-zone architecture
Coaching others technically or building up a team
What We Offer
With us, you won't just maintain a finished platform. You'll be part of shaping how it should look going forward.
We offer:
Great freedom to influence technology, architecture, and working methods
A central role close to both product and development
Modern infrastructure and the opportunity to work with technology for real in production
Short decision paths and great opportunities to get things done
Opportunity to build up and lead a DevOps team
Competent colleagues and an environment where technology is a central part of the business
Possibility of stock options for the right person
How We Work
We believe that the best technical solutions are built when development, product, and infrastructure work closely together.
That's why we work together from our office in Stockholm, where you'll become a natural part of the development team and can influence both major architectural decisions and day-to-day work.
We're looking for someone who enjoys the combination of technical excellence, significant responsibility, and the opportunity to actually influence how things are built.
