Do you want to develop the tools that ensure tomorrow's railways operate safely and reliably? We're now looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience in Python, CI/CD, and automation who wants to develop next-generation test platforms for safety-critical systems. The railway industry is facing major investments and extensive technical development. Our client develops software that controls everything from signal boxes and signaling systems to switches and gates – solutions that every day contribute to safer, more efficient, and more sustainable railway traffic. To ensure high quality throughout the development process, they are investing in modern development and test platforms where automation, DevOps, and internal tools play a central role. ABOUT THE ROLE: As a DevOps Engineer, you'll become part of a team that develops and manages the platforms and tools used to build, test, and verify software within railway signaling systems. This is a role for you if you want to combine software development with DevOps and automation. The focus is on developing internal tools, automating development and test workflows, and creating efficient development environments – rather than performing manual testing yourself. You'll work on things including: • Develop and enhance internal tools and applications in Python • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows • Develop and manage test environments, simulators, and development platforms • Work with containerized solutions in Docker and Kubernetes • Develop scripts and tools that streamline developers' and test teams' work • Participate in designing and improving DevOps processes and development environments • Collaborate closely with software developers and test engineers to create scalable and robust solutions • Contribute to continuous improvements in automation, tool development, and infrastructure You'll work in a technically advanced environment where software, automation, and safety-critical systems intersect. Here are great opportunities to influence how development and test platforms are built and evolved, while contributing to solutions used in mission-critical infrastructure. WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH: • Master's degree in Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent • Two to three years of experience in DevOps, software development, or test automation • Strong knowledge of Python • Experience with Unix • Experience with CI/CD, preferably Jenkins • Experience with Git and version control • Strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It's a bonus if you have: • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with Robot Framework or other test automation frameworks • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Experience with Azure or AWS • Experience developing internal tools or development platforms • Experience with safety-critical or embedded systems To thrive in this role, we believe you're someone driven by automating and streamlining processes. You have strong technical interest and appreciate working in complex environments where problem-solving and collaboration are natural parts of your day. You're curious, structured, and quality-conscious, with a desire to continuously develop both your working methods and technical solutions. ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT: This is a consulting assignment, meaning you'll initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both the client and our side is for you to eventually become directly employed by the client. ADDITIONAL INFO: Scope: Full-time Start: By agreement Location: Hässleholm (hybrid) Salary: Competitive monthly salary Contact: Daniel Andersson ([email protected]) Apply by clicking the link below.
