As a Data Protection Officer, you will be responsible for personal data processing in the company. You will be entrusted with consulting colleagues from all structural units, developing and maintaining internal policies, conducting audits, and organizing training. You will also maintain successful cooperation between the company, cooperation partners, including data processors, and supervisory authorities. We will entrust you with: Fulfilling the duties of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation - ensuring successful cooperation with supervisory authorities, colleagues, and data subjects; conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments; maintaining a record of processing activities Advising company management and employees on personal data protection matters Responding to data subject requests, ensuring data subjects are informed about data processing, maintaining and updating privacy notices and policies Ensuring compliance with personal data protection requirements and the company's internal data protection policies Evaluating personal data processing processes in the company; maintaining the company's data protection policies and procedures and reviewing data processing agreements with vendors and cooperation partners who process data on behalf of airBaltic Investigating personal data protection breaches Organizing and conducting GDPR training for employees, monitoring changes in data protection legislation and their application in practice, preparing regular reports to the management team If you have: At least 3 years of similar experience in the field of data protection Higher education in law, information technology, cybersecurity, or another field relevant to the position Data State Inspectorate-approved Data Protection Specialist qualification or equivalent internationally recognized professional qualification or certification in data protection and privacy, such as IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT, will be considered an advantage Good knowledge of GDPR and national data protection laws Understanding of data processing processes in the aviation industry will be considered an advantage Understanding of the basic principles of information technology and information security in the context of personal data protection Experience handling confidential information while maintaining discretion High ethical standards, ability to maintain objectivity when reporting or evaluating any non-compliance Very good organizational skills, precision, results-oriented personality Excellent knowledge of Latvian and English, both spoken and written* *Foreign language skills are necessary for communication with clients, cooperation partners, colleagues, and potential employees, as well as for work with company internal systems, including the processing of necessary documents and requests.
