JOB DUTIES As a Data Protection Coordinator in the Municipal Executive Administration, you coordinate and lead parts of the group's data protection work and follow up that legislation and internal governance documents are complied with. You support the Municipal Executive Administration and Service Administration as well as two of our companies in data protection work by planning, structuring and driving data protection work in accordance with GDPR and the municipality's group-wide governance. The assignment includes advice to managers and employees, support with record inventories, risk analyses, incident management and impact assessments. The role also involves driving improvements, coordinating common approaches and contributing to systematic and sustainable data protection work. You work close to the municipality's central data protection function and are a key person in creating order, security and quality in the handling of personal data. Principal work duties - Coordinate and lead data protection work for selected administrations/units. - Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal governance documents through follow-up, advice and joint process development. - Provide support in managing record inventories, requests from data subjects and other central data protection processes. - Identify, assess and support management of personal data incidents. - Conduct or support impact assessments (DPIA), balancing of interests and risk analyses. - Coordinate and drive implementation of group-wide procedures, policies and approaches. - Inform and educate managers and employees about data protection regulations and best practices. - Be a contact person and coordinate issues with the municipality's central data protection function and data protection officer. - Contribute in networks and forums for data protection within the group. QUALIFICATIONS We believe that you who are applying have high implementation capacity and drive the work forward in an independent and responsible manner. You work in a structured way, create order and clarity in complex issues and enjoy establishing sustainable approaches. You build good relationships, collaborate well with different actors and can explain complex data protection issues in a clear and pedagogical way. We are looking for you who have - Relevant post-secondary education in law, information security, data protection, IT security or equivalent. - Documented experience working with data protection and GDPR. - Good ability to translate legislation and internal governance documents into practical, operative work. - Experience supporting managers and employees in data protection matters. - The ability to take responsibility for your assignment and plan, organize and prioritize work efficiently and in a structured manner. - Experience working independently while also coordinating efforts together with others. It is a merit if you have - Experience with data protection work in the public sector or municipal group. - Experience managing personal data incidents and impact assessments (DPIA). - Experience developing or improving procedures, record inventories and governance documents. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and make a comprehensive assessment of your overall competencies. Salary form: Monthly salary. Type of employment: Permanent employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-12-01. Start date by agreement.
