Data Protection Officer Sought for Part-Time Consulting Assignment Valora Bemanning is seeking an experienced data protection officer for an extended consulting assignment within public sector operations. This role is ideal for you if you are confident in an independent and advisory capacity and have strong experience with data protection and GDPR. About the Assignment As a data protection officer, you will review and monitor the organization's data protection practices. You will provide advice and support on matters related to personal data processing, GDPR, and other applicable data protection legislation. Key responsibilities include: Inform and advise on GDPR compliance obligations Review and monitor the organization's adherence to data protection regulations Provide guidance on internal policies, procedures, and responsibility allocation Support data protection impact assessments (DPIA) Advise on data processor agreements Serve as the contact point with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) Be the contact point for personal data processing inquiries Contribute to increased data protection awareness within the organization The role requires significant independent responsibility and you must be able to work autonomously from the start of the assignment. We Are Looking for You If You: Have documented experience working as a data protection officer Have experience with data protection work in public sector organizations Have extensive knowledge of GDPR and relevant data protection legislation Have experience with data protection impact assessments (DPIA) Have knowledge of data processor agreements Are experienced in providing legal and practical advice Are self-motivated, organized, and take responsibility Communicate very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Scope The assignment comprises approximately 15–20 hours per week and is expected to start as soon as possible by agreement. This is an extended consulting assignment. Workplace location and remote work options will be determined by agreement.
