ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Data Engineer, you'll be an important part of developing and modernizing the company's analytics platform. You'll build solutions that retrieve data from core business systems, other data sources, and external APIs, and refine it into quality-assured and usable information for analysis, monitoring, and decision-making. The role has a strong focus on Python and involves working through the entire data flow, from data source and modeling to testing, deployment, and operations. As the platform evolves, you'll also contribute to how Python code, data models, and data flows are structured and built to create robust and reusable solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain ETL flows in Python. Retrieve and integrate data from SQL databases, APIs, and business systems. Transform, quality-assure, and model data. Develop reusable solutions for new data sources. Package data flows with Docker and run them in Azure. Build in logging, error handling, and tests. Further develop flows for building and deployment in Azure DevOps. Collaborate closely with the business and other developers. WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO: Holds a degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field. Has at least three years of professional development experience with Python. Has strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Has experience developing ETL or ELT flows. Understanding of data modeling, data quality, and traceability. Is accustomed to developing code that needs to be tested, deployed, and maintained. Has experience with Git, code review, and CI/CD. Has good communication skills in Swedish or English. It's a plus if you have experience with Azure SQL, Azure Container Apps, Azure Key Vault, Pandas, SQLAlchemy, or PyODBC. Experience with Docker, infrastructure as code—preferably Bicep—test automation, data flow monitoring, or visualization tools such as Streamlit, Plotly, and Power BI is also valuable.
