Highly Specialized Care for Patients with Severe Eating Disorders Akademiska University Hospital, as one of only three hospitals in Sweden, has been commissioned to provide national highly specialized care (NHV) for children and young people with severe eating disorders. Therefore, we now offer a unique opportunity for you as a nurse to become part of this important operation. We continue to develop and establish this new level of care and are now seeking more team members. Will you help shape the future of eating disorder care? Our Operations Eating disorder care within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Region Uppsala is conducted in close collaboration between several units: • Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Eating Disorder Unit • Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Emergency Department • Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Eating Disorder Unit NHV We work in a multidisciplinary manner and value close collaboration between operations to ensure high expertise and good continuity of care. Within the NHV team, we offer assessment, treatment, and follow-up according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's mandate and special conditions for national highly specialized care. Care is based on individually adapted and intensive interventions for both patient and family, where multiple professions work together toward common goals. Treatment typically lasts approximately 12 weeks. Your Role As a nurse, you will primarily work within national highly specialized care. You have a central role in patients' care processes and function as a cohesive link for the patient and family throughout treatment. You will work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of a counselor, psychotherapist, physician, nursing assistants, care workers, dietitian, and physical therapist. In addition to daily leadership and nursing care, your role also includes: • contributing to quality and development work • participating in evaluation and development of care processes • implementing evidence-based methods • contributing to knowledge dissemination and competence development Since the operation also functions as a competence center, learning is a natural part of the work, both through your own development and by sharing knowledge with others. There are also good opportunities to participate in both ongoing and future research in this field. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience with the current patient group and with psychiatry is a merit. Your Competencies You are confident in your professional role, which is reflected in your approach to families in crisis. You put the patient in focus and are responsible and motivated in your work. In addition to your professional skills, you are an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment.
