Controller for the Culture Administration
REGION STOCKHOLM · Vollzeit
Box 22550, Stockholm, Schweden
Do you have experience in qualified controller work? Would you like to work in a culturally inspiring context where you can clearly see how your work contributes to the operations? The Culture Administration is now seeking two proactive controllers who want to work broadly with financial matters related to the Culture Administration's activities. Does this description fit you? Then we look forward to your application! About the Position The position is part of the Culture Administration's finance function. As a controller, you will be involved in the entire financial process, from start to finish, for several of the Culture Board's activities. You will be active throughout the chain from the ongoing flow of costs and revenues in accounting to proactive work in close collaboration with the administration's managers. To reduce vulnerability and increase variety in daily work, knowledge and the opportunity should exist to step in for each other in the tasks that occur in the department, while everyone has their main areas of responsibility. Your work tasks will consist of ongoing work within accounting, budget, monitoring, and analysis work for the departments/units you are assigned to. The position includes proactively supporting managers and employees from a financial perspective. Working smarter, digitizing, and improving our processes are in focus. You will work closely with colleagues within both the finance function and other functions within the department for operations and management support. The role also involves close contact with managers and employees in the administration's other departments. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is trained as an economist at university level or has other relevant education for the employer. You have several years of experience in qualified controller work where independent work with budgets, monitoring, and analysis has been an important part. You see the big picture without losing accuracy or quality and have the ability to quickly switch between a holistic perspective and details. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of financial systems and Excel. You also need to have very good Swedish skills in both speech and writing. If you additionally have relevant experience working in the public sector, that is a great plus. To succeed in the role, you are analytical with the ability to combine different types of information and a systematic proactive approach. You are responsible, thorough, quality-conscious and structured, as well as flexible and accommodating. You find it easy to collaborate with others, are relationship-building and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Furthermore, you are proactive and self-driven, and take responsibility for independently driving the work forward. You also have experience and aptitude for using digital systems, which is a large part of the work. Of course, you have an interest in our operations and the content of the position. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Our Offer You will be part of the department for operations and management support, which in addition to the finance function also includes IT, systems and digital administration, facilities and security matters, procurement, and archives/records. The department is characterized by a positive attitude and proactive approach that makes it easy to do the right thing even for infrequent users of the administrative functions we are responsible for. We have collective agreements and with that come collectively agreed insurances, occupational pension, and the possibility of salary exchange. To help you take responsibility for your health, we offer fitness hours and fitness allowance as well as subsidized healthcare in the form of free outpatient care. Flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home help you balance your day. Read more about the benefits in our collective agreement here. The Culture Administration is located at two different places where most of us are located in fresh premises centrally at Södermalmsallén at Medborgarplatsen, and the Regional Archives in spacious premises in Flemingsberg with access to its own gym. Your placement will be at Södermalmsallén. Application If this sounds like something for you, we would be happy if you apply as soon as possible. For a complete application, it is sufficient to attach your CV and relevant educational credentials. When you apply, you will be asked to answer a number of questions; these replace a personal letter. Interviews take place continuously during the application period. If you have questions, you are welcome to contact recruiting manager Agneta Sjöberg, [email protected] or Ulf Annerhem, [email protected]. Other Information A trial employment of 6 months may be applied. Tests may be included as step 2 in the recruitment process. We use Assessio's MAP and Matrigma tests. MAP is a personality test and Matrigma is a problem-solving test, both based on occupational psychology research. The tests are used as a complement to your experience and competencies.
