We're seeking an experienced CNC technician with a focus on CAM programming for an innovative manufacturing company in Nyköping. About the Role
In this position, you'll be responsible for preparing production documentation and CNC programs for the company's machine park, which includes two five-axis milling machines. The machines are used to mill everything from molds and fixtures to finished components. You'll plan and develop machining and fixturing methods, and participate in standardization and process development work to optimize production. You'll also work on calculating and verifying manufacturing processes to ensure capacity and quality targets are met.
An important part of the work involves machining advanced composite materials, particularly carbon fiber and fiberglass composites. You'll collaborate continuously with design, machine operators, and production technicians to create efficient CNC programs and fixture solutions. This role is central to production and involves driving CAM programming largely independently. Over time, you may also have the opportunity to mentor and train another person in this work.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with documented experience in CNC milling and CAM programming, preferably including five-axis machining experience. You have strong knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and are accustomed to working with CNC control systems. Experience with SolidWorks and/or Mastercam is a plus. You likely have a background in production engineering or machine shop work with a focus on machining, and technical training as a CNC technician or as an engineer.
Experience with composite machining is desirable but not required. It's also a plus if you've worked with measurement techniques, quality control, or digital measuring equipment to verify geometries on larger products.
