Have you built and developed Azure platforms in complex hybrid environments and want to continue working close to the technology? At Akademiska Hus, you'll get a technically leading and hands-on role with significant influence over how our future infrastructure should be standardized, automated, and secured. Here you'll contribute to both long-term technical decisions and to actually implementing and making solutions work. YOU WILL Akademiska Hus has completed an extensive migration from traditional on-prem infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. At the same time, a large, business-critical system environment remains on-prem. The result is a complex hybrid infrastructure where cloud services and traditional IT need to work together—securely, reliably, and efficiently. Now we're entering the next phase. This means increased automation and repeatability, clearer standards and platform patterns, improved governance and security management, and a more unified hybrid and Azure platform with less dependence on manual processes. As a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you'll have a central role in this development. It's a technically leading engineer role where the focus is on hands-on implementation. You design, implement, and troubleshoot solutions while bringing the team together on technical issues, driving progress, and supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing and mentoring. The team consists of twelve people in Gothenburg and Stockholm, including four IT technical specialists and three network technicians. Together we have broad expertise in areas including Azure, IAM, data centers and virtualization, VDI, monitoring, firewalls, SOC, VPN, and networking. You'll also work closely with architects and have the mandate to influence technical solutions, working methods, and the platform's continued development. You will, among other things: Design, implement, and further develop solutions in Azure and the hybrid infrastructure. Work hands-on with areas such as Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity, and Security. Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code for repeatable and standardized deliveries. Work with Active Directory, Entra ID, and Conditional Access in a complex hybrid environment. Troubleshoot advanced technical problems and drive solutions from analysis to implementation. Contribute to platform patterns, technical standards, architecture, and long-term technical decisions. Work with governance, logging, security management, and cost optimization. Take technical leadership and contribute to the team's shared expertise and development. YOUR PROFILE We're looking for someone with solid experience in IT infrastructure and the migration from traditional on-prem to Azure and hybrid cloud. Perhaps you started with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and traditional server operations. Over time, Azure has become an increasingly large part of your responsibilities and you've worked with migrations, hybrid solutions, identity, networking, security, and automation. Today you can see the bigger picture and contribute to technical decisions, but you still want to work close to the technology. What matters is not the titles you've held, but that you understand the journey because you've walked it yourself. For this role, you need to have: Multiple years of experience with Azure in complex production environments. Solid hands-on experience with hybrid Azure/on-prem. Strong expertise in networking, identity, and security. Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform. Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and PowerShell. Ability to troubleshoot advanced problems, implement solutions, and take technical responsibility. Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English. It's a merit if you have experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Application Gateway, Application Proxy, Linux, DNS, and PKI and certificate management. Relevant Azure certifications are also meritorious. As a person, you're curious, solution-oriented, and confident in your technical expertise. You like to understand how things work in depth and enjoy challenging existing solutions when you see a better way forward. At the same time, you're unpretentious, share your knowledge, and drive progress together with others. The position can be based in Gothenburg or Stockholm. Akademiska Hus offers a flexible work arrangement where the starting point is that you work approximately half your time in the office. The arrangement is planned together with your immediate manager based on the assignment.
