How you'll make a difference with us As a Cloud Engineer at Vimla, you develop and operate our AWS platform. It's the secure, observable, and cost-effective foundation that both the application and data teams build on. You work hands-on with infrastructure as code, security, observability, and cost optimization. You become part of an open and unpretentious culture where we help each other, share knowledge, and prioritize together. Your role is both technical and enabling. You build reusable patterns and guardrails that allow teams to move quickly and safely. You collaborate closely with the technical organization to translate needs into sustainable cloud solutions. Key responsibilities: Maintain and further develop all AWS infrastructure (networking, compute, storage, IAM, security baseline) Design and develop cloud architecture for current needs and long-term scalability Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for the entire environment Implement AWS security baseline: IAM, network controls, encryption, audit logging Build reusable infrastructure patterns, modules, and guardrails that enable self-service for teams Set up and maintain observability for the infrastructure: monitoring, alerting, and incident response at the platform level Provide visibility into AWS costs and drive optimization Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures Support application and data teams by understanding their needs and providing infrastructure that enables their work Are you the one we're looking for? Beyond that, we think you'll thrive with us if you… … have solid experience with AWS in production (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) … write Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK) that is modular and production-ready … have a strong understanding of networking and security in the cloud … have built observability and managed incidents at the platform level … think long-term: balance today's needs with architecture that stands the test of time … see colleagues in other teams as your internal customers and understand their needs before proposing solutions … have experience building reusable infrastructure modules or templates that other teams can use … have experience with cost tracking and optimization in AWS … have several years of experience in cloud engineering or similar … can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish as it is our company language Meritorious: experience with container orchestration (ECS/EKS), disaster recovery, cost optimization in larger AWS environments We value your mindset, technical thinking, and ability to build robust systems higher than experience with our exact stack.
