Required qualifications include completion of a professional training course ("Childcare Provider for Children's Group" course, or childcare provider for children before mandatory school attendance begins). Secondary education with a diploma and pedagogical training (secondary school, specialized secondary school, or university degree in a pedagogically-oriented field) or a pedagogical assistant qualification course under Section 20, Paragraph 1 of the Pedagogical Workers Act is preferred.
