The Unit: Dalregementet The Swedish Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. The establishment of Dalregementet is part of building Swedish defense capability. Until the regiment reaches full capacity, including a new regimental area, operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Work methods will change over time to adapt to the growing organization and its operations. About the Training Support Division The division constitutes the regiment's development and training center. Officers, specialist officers, and civilians work together here to achieve operational goals. The division conducts activities mainly in three areas: Development: We develop technology, tactics, and combat techniques to meet tomorrow's capability requirements. Training: We are responsible for training planning and lead the implementation of infantry battalion training as well as competence development for soldiers, employees, and officers here and now. Exercise and Training: We exercise, test, and evaluate both our own units and formations to continuously improve our collective capability. Main Responsibilities As Chief of the Development Section, you are responsible for and lead the operational management of your section. You are thorough, structured, and work well with colleagues. We are looking for an officer who wants to develop as a leader and manager, who is passionate about improvement work and developing your staff and operations. Regardless of background, it is important that you are thorough and unpretentious, which also means you are a good team player. You are flexible and can handle temporary peaks in workload without becoming stressed, and you have good decision-making ability. You are conscientious without being afraid to set requirements, follow up, and take action when needed. You ensure that the section functions efficiently and delivers high-quality work as requested. You are responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of operations and ensure that necessary priorities are made. You participate in the division's management group and cooperate with other section chiefs and coordinate activities with peers. You conduct recruitment and staffing within your own section and support the division in competence development work. We offer varied and stimulating work. Qualifications Swedish citizen Professional officer, minimum OF1b/OR7 (Lieutenant/Ensign) Good ability in spoken and written Swedish and English Minimum driver's license category B Minimum FmfyS level 2 Meritorious Experience in development work, personnel responsibility, project management Experience in unit training and unit development Experience in staff work Experience in training work and international service Military driving certificate Personal Qualities Good social and cooperation skills Initiative Flexibility Stress resilience Thoroughness Ability to work independently with personal responsibility Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Information About the Swedish Armed Forces and the Recruiting Unit Dalregementet is one of the Swedish Armed Forces' newly established units with origins dating back to 1625. The regiment was re-established in 2021 following a decision by parliament. Our operations are based in Falun, and we will contribute to the training of soldiers who will build the future infantry formations/Army.
