Welcome to the Swedish Armed Forces Winter Unit! With the changed security policy situation, the need for strengthened winter capability and winter training has become increasingly important. The Swedish Armed Forces Winter Unit (FMVE) at I 19 in Boden is at the forefront of developing and coordinating these capacities. About the Unit FMVE is a vital part of Norrbotten Regiment I 19 and plays a central role in strengthening the Swedish Armed Forces' and its allies' ability to operate under winter and subarctic conditions. Our unit is a hub for training, development and cooperation, not only within Sweden but also with international partners. About the Position As head of the training department at FMVE, you will have a unique opportunity to directly influence and develop capabilities that are crucial for the defense of our country and cooperation with international partners. Your work will involve leadership, training planning and implementation of both national and international courses. Main Responsibilities You will lead the training department and be responsible for developing and implementing training in winter and subarctic capability. This also includes safety aspects such as mountain and avalanche safety. Your work will also involve cooperation with other units and educational institutions as well as participation in security inspections and project management. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Professional officer with experience from the Swedish Armed Forces · Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written · Driver's license class B minimum Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is independent, flexible and has a strong ability to collaborate and communicate. You should be organized and able to handle a fast pace. Great emphasis is placed on your personal suitability and your interest in outdoor activities.
