The cafeteria is the heart of Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet. Here students, staff, and visitors meet in a welcoming environment characterized by excellent service and community. The operation is also an important part of the school's event space rentals and helps create positive experiences at various events and arrangements. We are now looking for a café staff member who wants to help develop the operation and contribute to making every guest feel welcome.
Job Responsibilities
Your work will be varied; here are some of the main responsibilities:
Greet every guest with a warm welcome and create an inviting atmosphere.
Prepare and serve beverages, sandwiches, and pastries with a focus on quality and presentation.
Manage orders, merchandise receiving, and restocking to ensure the café is always well-prepared and has the right products on hand.
Maintain order and cleanliness in the café spaces and ensure that the facilities are always clean and neat.
Handle cash and payment systems.
Work together with an engaged team to achieve common goals and provide the best possible service.
Qualifications
Upper secondary education in restaurant and food service or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Experience working in a kitchen, café, or restaurant.
Work is scheduled for weekdays, evenings, and weekends. You therefore need to be available to work these times.
You have a high level of service orientation and deliver a fantastic customer experience to build good relationships.
You have the ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality.
You have a team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support colleagues to achieve common goals.
