The well-established Borgarskolan is one of Gävle's three municipal upper secondary schools with 830 students. In addition to well-equipped and modern facilities, the school is characterized by commitment and respect between students and teachers. "Borgis," as Borgarskolan is called, has two vocational programs, two college preparatory programs, and a language introduction program for newly arrived students in Sweden. The school also offers several nationally approved sports education programs in football, athletics, golf, and ice hockey. The school has a café that is now seeking a person with a passion for excellent service who will also work with supervising our support staff. This is a temporary position at 50% with immediate start and running until June 6, 2027. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for a colleague who with enthusiasm and positivity wants to work in a team where service spirit and teamwork are at the center. We are looking for someone who is responsible and has a sense of service and who always puts our guests first. Become part of our team and help make Gävle full of meeting places together with us! You will be part of the café team that, together with your other colleagues, creates a welcoming and pleasant environment for our students. Support staff work in the cafeteria. Part of your role is therefore to be a good ambassador for the café and mentor your colleagues in the school's cafeterias. Your responsibilities include, among other things: • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations for cafeteria operations. • Mentoring support staff is a major part of the work. • Follow cleaning routines. • Other tasks as they arise in the café. • Work both independently and as part of a team. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Completed upper secondary education, diploma must be attached to your application. • Training in food hygiene or experience in this field. • Previous work experience in a similar role (such as having worked in a café and also having supervisory experience) or a combination of both. • Good IT skills to support daily work. • The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
