Sigtuna Kvinnohus is seeking an engaged and service-oriented café manager who wants to help create a safe, welcoming, and pleasant meeting place for women.
About the Position
As café manager, you play an important role in the daily operations of Sigtuna Kvinnohus. You are responsible for the ongoing management of the café and greet our visitors with warmth, respect, and professional service.
The work is varied and includes both practical café tasks and responsibility for contributing to a welcoming, safe, and well-functioning environment in the women's center.
Employment Level: 75%
Work Hours: Varying hours. Evening and weekend work may occur.
Work Location: Sigtuna Kvinnohus, Sigtuna Municipality
Your responsibilities include:
Manage the daily operations of the café
Prepare and serve refreshments and simple meals
Prepare and handle lunch service and ensure that everything runs smoothly
Handle cash and sales
Maintain order, comfort, and a welcoming café environment
Handle dishwashing, cleaning, and ongoing quality checks
Manage purchases, orders, and food storage
Ensure that food handling complies with applicable regulations, hygiene requirements, and operational procedures
Greet visitors and contribute to warm, respectful, and professional service
Together with other staff members, help ensure that Sigtuna Kvinnohus is a safe and inclusive meeting place.
We are looking for someone who
Is responsible, service-oriented, and enjoys meeting people. You are practical, see what needs to be done, and can work both independently and with others.
It is important that you can create structure in daily work while remaining flexible when operational needs change.
You also need to be comfortable with computers and be able to use digital tools in your daily work, such as basic administration, communication, and information management.
We would appreciate if you have experience from a café, restaurant, service, food handling, or similar work. Experience working in a social nonprofit organization is a plus, as is knowledge about domestic violence.
Employment Terms
The position is 75%, corresponding on average to 30 hours per week.
Work hours vary based on operational activities and needs. Evening and weekend work may occur, which means you need to be available for varying schedules.
