Construction Manager Civil Works DP5 Fläsian Kraftsam Rekrytering & Bemanning is seeking an experienced Construction Manager Civil Works for Trafikverket on a long-term and socially important consulting assignment in Sundsvall. The assignment is part of the Double Track Dingersjö–Kubikenborg railway project and offers a key role in implementing one of the region's most important infrastructure investments. The expansion of double track between Dingersjö and Sundsvall strengthens capacity on one of Sweden's most important railway lines and contributes to increased punctuality, improved transport options, and sustainable regional development. As a construction manager, you will have the opportunity to be part of a complex and socially significant infrastructure project with major importance for future railway traffic. About the Role We are seeking an experienced construction manager for civil works for subproject 5 Fläsian within the Double Track Dingersjö–Kubikenborg project. The assignment involves being Trafikverket's representative during the production phase and ensuring that the contractor carries out the work in accordance with contract documents, requirements, and objectives. Subproject 5 Fläsian includes, among other things, 4.4 km of new double track adjacent to existing operational track, rock cuts, bridges over Kemivägen, Tellusvägen and E4, support structures, noise barriers, and the rerouting of Svarttjärnsbäcken. The work is performed with a base of operations in Sundsvall and requires high on-site presence in the project. Role and Responsibilities Ensure the contractor builds in accordance with contract documents Contribute production expertise in the preparation of tender documents Participate in production planning Prepare decision-making documentation for notifications and financial adjustments Manage and coordinate follow-up of MSS withdrawals Ensure the contractor delivers documentation according to the delivery plan in the final phase Monitor and manage deviations from building specifications Follow up delivery quality through monitoring of the contractor's quality control and self-inspections Participate in site inspections Assist in health, safety, and environmental rounds Participate in project risk management Attend critical work such as connections and work on tracks Handle questions and answers in the Project Portal Verify contractor invoices Participate in inspections and site examinations Follow up documentation for operational records, facility data, and operations and maintenance instructions Develop and implement control programs and inspection plans for your own work Maintain project log and follow up on contractor's log Competence Requirements 1. At least 5 years of experience as a construction manager, site manager, project manager, or project lead with responsibility for progress and financial monitoring. 2. Experience acting as a construction manager, site manager, project manager, or project lead in complex civil works projects valued at a minimum of 200 million kronor where rock excavation work has been relevant. 3. Experience with mass movements and logistics planning in similar projects. 4. Documented knowledge of practical application of AMA. 5. Good oral and written communication skills in Swedish. 6. Category B driver's license. 7. Approved BASÄSKYDD course. Value-Added Requirements 1. High competence in civil works in built environments with management of existing installations and monitoring of occupational safety requirements. 2. Experience planning and implementing traffic arrangements and traffic closures on state roads, as well as coordinating traffic issues with external stakeholders. 3. High competence in civil works in connection with operational railway installations. 4. Documented training in BASTAB. Assignment Information Assignment Period: From assignment start as soon as possible, but no later than 2026-11-01, through 2028-09-30 with the possibility of extension 1+1+1+1+1 years. Scope: 80-100% of annual working time. From November 2026 to January 2027, an utilization rate of at least 50% is acceptable. From February 2027, the utilization rate must exceed 80%. Work Location: Sundsvall. Physical presence in Sundsvall is required at least 80% of the time, corresponding to at least four days per week.
