About the CompanyTrafikverket is responsible for long-term planning of the transport system for road traffic, rail traffic, maritime shipping, and aviation in Sweden. The assignment is part of the East Coast Railway Dingersjö–Sundsvall program and concerns the Double Track Dingersjö–Kubikenborg project.
About the RoleWe are seeking a construction manager for building structures for sub-project 3 Nolby within the Double Track Dingersjö–Kubikenborg project.
The project encompasses approximately 3.5 km of new double track adjacent to existing operational track, as well as several complex building structures and facilities, including road bridges, railway bridges, support structures, roundabout, noise barriers, and geotechnical reinforcement measures.
The role involves a consulting assignment where you work closely with production and are stationed at Trafikverket's project office in Sundsvall with extensive on-site presence at the construction site.
Role and ResponsibilitiesMonitor that the contractor builds according to contract documents
Contribute production expertise in the preparation of request for proposal documents
Participate in production planning
Prepare decision support for notifications and financial settlement
Manage and coordinate monitoring of MSS withdrawals
Ensure that the contractor delivers documentation according to the delivery schedule in the final phase
Monitor and handle deviations from building specifications
Monitor delivery quality through inspection of the contractor's quality management and self-inspection
Participate in construction site inspections
Participate in safety and environmental rounds
Contribute to the project's risk management
Attend critical work such as connections and track work
Provide responses to questions in the project's information management system
Verify the contractor's invoices
Participate in inspections and surveys
Monitor relationship documentation, facility data, and operation and maintenance instructions
Develop and execute inspection programs and control plans for your own work
Maintain a project diary over the contractor's work
Monitor the contractor's diary
Competence RequirementsAt least 7 years of experience as a construction manager, work supervisor, project manager, or site manager with responsibility for progress and financial follow-up.
2. Experience working as a construction manager, work supervisor, project manager, or site manager on a complex project involving responsibility for concrete structure casting. The project value must have been at least 200 million SEK.
3. Documented knowledge of practical use of AMA.
4. Good expression in Swedish, both spoken and written.
5. Valid driver's license category B and access to an appropriate vehicle for business travel is required.
6. Certified in concrete casting class 1.
7. Completed and approved BASÄSKYDD course.
Desirable QualificationsHigh expertise in earthworks and construction work in railway and built environments with management of existing conditions.
2. Good ability and experience in planning and implementing traffic arrangements and traffic closures on state or public roads, as well as coordinating traffic matters with external stakeholders.
3. Good knowledge of temporary and permanent support structures.
Assignment InformationAssignment Period: From assignment start as soon as possible, but no later than 2026-11-01, through 2028-09-30 with possibility of extension 1+1+1+1+1 years.
Scope: 80-100% utilization rate. During November-January, a minimum of 50% utilization rate is accepted. From February 2027, the utilization rate must be above 80%.
Placement Location: Sundsvall.
Physical presence in Sundsvall is required for at least 80%.
The resource consultant must be on-site in Sundsvall at least four days per week.
