Talsu novada pašvaldība (registration number 90009113532) announces an open competition for the position of Building Inspector at the Building Authority of Talsu novada pašvaldība's Central Administration for a fixed-term period (profession code 2422 54) Your responsibilities will include: Monitoring in accordance with the competence established in the Construction Law to ensure that individuals and legal entities comply with regulatory acts governing activities in the construction sector within the designated service territory; Identifying non-compliance between the existing situation and requirements established in regulatory acts, and in accordance with established procedures, drafting and signing administrative acts and/or indicating what actions must be taken to remedy the non-compliance; Monitoring, inspecting, and supervising collapsed, unsafe, or landscape-degrading buildings within the Municipality's territory, overseeing their remediation, initiating procedures regarding ruin status and conservation work necessity, and recommending that the legal specialist initiate correspondence procedures; Monitoring, inspecting, and supervising unauthorized use of structures within the Municipality's territory, and recommending that the legal specialist initiate correspondence procedures; Reviewing construction project documents and documents for building acceptance into use, and performing independent activities in the Construction Information System (hereinafter BIS) in accordance with the competence established in construction-regulating regulatory acts within the designated service territory. Requirements: At least first-level professional higher education in a building engineer study program or second-level professional higher education in an architecture study program or a building engineer study program in the construction field; impeccable professional reputation, integrity, and a high sense of responsibility; Knowledge of regulatory acts in the construction field, as well as understanding of the Administrative Procedure Law; Practical work experience in areas related to the duties of the position; Good skills in working with Office software, the construction information system (BIS2), and information and communication technologies; Good communication, planning, and organizational skills, willingness to learn and apply acquired knowledge to the municipality's overall development; Ability to apply the correct sequence of interdependent processes, ability to use professional work methods and techniques, and theoretical knowledge for performing the duties of the position; Category B driving license.
