Riga Technical University Registration No. 90000068977 We invite applications for a General Construction Works Manager (profession code 1323 05) in the Infrastructure Maintenance and Development Division of the Infrastructure Management and Development Department. The purpose of this position is directly related to organizing, supervising, and controlling general construction processes, including the necessary engagement and supervision of construction design services within the specified scope for RTU buildings, structures, and facilities. Your main responsibilities will be: plan the execution of construction work and ensure technical supervision of construction activities; prepare and formalize technical requirement specifications from the client for construction (design services and construction work); prepare and formalize cost estimates for planned construction work (drafting estimates in accordance with LBN 501-17 requirements and templates); monitor contract performance for design contracts and construction contracts; supervise and coordinate construction processes in the construction information system (BIS) within the scope of facility construction cases; coordinate construction work as necessary with State and municipal institutions; coordinate construction processes with direct users of buildings, structures, and facilities (RTU structural units) contact persons, ensuring cooperation and appropriate implementation of results according to user needs and requirements; coordinate cooperation with contractors and suppliers during construction, ensuring and maintaining work continuity and efficiency; participate in facility handover for operation upon completion of construction work; prepare and formalize documented defect records during the construction warranty period; participate in centralized procurement commissions as designated within job duties. You possess: appropriate professional or higher education in construction; practical experience in managing and/or supervising general construction work (current construction practice certificate will be considered an advantage); knowledge of regulatory acts necessary for construction and job duty performance; ability to work with technical documentation of construction objects, structures, and equipment; ability to work independently, assessing and determining priorities and deadlines for job duties and responsibilities; responsible attitude toward work duties; ability and aptitude for teamwork (we will value experience in personnel management); state language knowledge at advanced level (C1); good digital literacy (general necessary computer user skills, AutoCAD program, MS Office 365 programs); category B driving license.
