Do you love food and are you ready for a career where people come first? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to live better lives. We have a special passion for fresh produce and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have diverse backgrounds and experiences. Whether you're showcasing freshly harvested vegetables, cutting the perfect piece of meat, ensuring shelves are always well-stocked, or creating campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone here has one purpose: to create an amazing customer experience.
About the Job
Position: Temporary contract, 5 hours per week through December 20, 2026, with possibility of extension
Start date: September 28, 2026 or by agreement
Work hours: Early mornings, late evenings, and weekends are a natural part of the work
You put the finishing touch on the customer experience
You have the chance to make a lasting impression on our customers' visits, so you have an important role in making the customer experience smooth and pleasant. It can mean a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude. You should ensure that customers leave the store happy – and ideally with an extra item in their basket and a good feeling!
What will you do?
Each day brings new meetings and challenges, but some of your main tasks are:
Ensure customers leave the store with a smile (and maybe an extra item or with new inspiration).
Work at the checkout, including customer service tasks.
Help with merchandise stocking and create a pleasant store environment.
Collaborate with colleagues throughout the store – we are a team and help where needed!
Who are you?
You are a natural problem-solver who loves energy and speed. A friendly greeting and an extra helping hand are second nature to you. Do you thrive in meeting customers? Perfect! If you've also worked in retail or at a checkout before – even better!
We believe that you:
Have completed upper secondary education and speak and write Swedish fluently. Since our customers speak more languages than that, it's wonderful if you do too.
Love meeting customers and believe service should be genuine and engaged.
Enjoy doing things together and contribute with energy and joy.
Are curious, solution-oriented, and see when something needs to be done – and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get it done!
What do you get?
Secure conditions – We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen.
Affordable grocery basket – You get employee discount on everything from luxurious weekend dinners to quick weeknight solutions.
Parental leave with extra security – we offer enhanced parental benefits according to collective agreement so you can enjoy your new family member extra.
A healthier and more energetic body and mind – We care about your health and offer wellness benefits so you can stay active in the way that works best for you.
Real career opportunities – At City Gross there's room to grow! Many of our store managers started exactly where you are now.
Does this sound like something for you? Submit your application – we look forward to meeting you!
