What you can expect from the position
As a Department Manager, you are responsible for one of the store's departments, such as Car/Motorcycle/Car Care, Building/Tools or Leisure/Boat/Home/Office/Tech. This means you are the management team's extended arm in operations. Your responsibility includes ensuring that the department is always well-organized, sales-driven and customer-ready with well-stocked and inviting shelves. You create inspiring seasonal displays, make suggestions on which products fit for end-caps and cross-selling. Order and organization is one of our core values and in this role you ensure that signage and directions are clear and correct. You are also responsible for your department's inventory.
An important part of your role is to motivate and engage your colleagues and share your knowledge about your department's products. Together with your colleagues, you pick up goods and coach them to provide Biltema's customers with the best possible service. You are a team player who values close collaboration with other department managers where you gladly exchange ideas and experiences. We appreciate that you have a passion for your product areas and care about a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.
What we expect from you
We are looking for someone who has worked in retail for a couple of years and wants to take the next step in sales. You are a customer-focused service professional. As a person, you like to take responsibility, take initiative and have a sense for sales. For you it is a given to go the extra mile to achieve results. You also have an eye for sales displays and efficient product placement. Challenges motivate you and you thrive well with a high work pace where new approaches are sought.
It is important that you have an interest in Biltema's product range and areas. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability; as a manager you must be communicative in both Swedish and English and have the ability to convey the goal and the path to your colleagues. It is therefore also an asset if you have previously held a management position.

This is a permanent position that begins with a 6-month trial period. Employment is full-time, 38.25 hours/week.
