We are now seeking a store manager for Playoteket in Jönköping. We are looking for an engaged and driven person who wants to lead and continue developing our store, with a focus on sales, customer experience, and a well-functioning team.
Playoteket is a modern specialty store for board games, card games, and miniature games. Since 2004, we have built a business in Malmö and Lund with a clear concept, high service standards, and strong local presence. Since summer 2026, we are also located in Jönköping.
About the Role
As store manager, you have overall responsibility for the daily operations of the Jönköping store. The role is both operational and strategic – you work actively in the store every day while driving development, improving processes, and ensuring that operations meet their goals.
You have clear local responsibility and are confident in making decisions and prioritizing in daily work. At the same time, you work closely with headquarters and run the store in line with Playoteket's shared concept, structure, and goals.
Areas of Responsibility
· Ensure professional and efficient daily operations
· Drive sales and actively engage in customer advice
· Personnel responsibility, scheduling, and team development
· Inventory control
· Display and optimization of the store's visual presentation
· Monitor sales results and take action to increase profitability
· Identify local opportunities and develop the store within our concept
· Ensure structure, order, and clear procedures
We Are Looking for Someone Who
· Has experience from retail and preferably previous experience as a store manager or other leadership role
· Has a good understanding of sales and profitability and enjoys working toward clear goals
· Has strong leadership qualities and the ability to develop, engage, and coach employees
· Is organized, self-driven, and confident in making decisions
· Enjoys an operational role where you lead through presence
· Has good Swedish and English skills, spoken and written
· Has good computer skills and is comfortable with point-of-sale systems and digital tools
Interest in games is a merit. You do not need to know everything about our assortment from the start, but we would like to see that you have an interest in the products and culture that Playoteket is part of.
