Bus Driver – Gotlandsbuss
Gotlandsbuss is a central part of public transportation on Gotland. Every day we help people get to work, school, leisure activities, and all of summer's events. In addition to scheduled routes, we also operate school transportation and charter services, which provides a varied and rewarding work day.
Gotland is known for its bright summer evenings, beautiful coastal environments, and vibrant summers—a place where work and quality of life meet. We are now looking for bus drivers who want to become an important part of our team and give passengers a safe and positive journey.
Placement:
We are looking for someone who can operate out of the Burgsvik depot.
Job Responsibilities
As a bus driver at Gotlandsbuss, you will have a varied position where you can drive scheduled routes, school transportation, and charter services. Regardless of assignment, you are one of our most important representatives to our passengers.
Your responsibilities include:
Operating a bus in a safe, responsible, and professional manner
Driving with a focus on environmentally friendly and economical driving
Handling traffic situations calmly and safely, even under stress or disruptions
Meeting passengers with a service-oriented and friendly approach
Operating school transportation with responsibility for children and youth safety
Operating charter services, such as group trips, organization tours, or event transportation
Representing Gotlandsbuss in a way that reflects our high standards
Collaborating with traffic management and colleagues for efficient operations
Qualifications
Requirements:
Class D driver's license
Valid YKB certificate
Digital tachograph card
Good knowledge of Swedish and ability to communicate in English
Access to a personal vehicle (varying working hours)
Meritorious:
Experience as a bus driver, particularly in scheduled routes, school transportation, or charter services
Experience in customer service or service-oriented professions
Orientation and Support
You will receive introductory training led by experienced bus drivers. During work, you will also have support from our traffic management, who are available to help and guide you when situations arise in traffic.
Safety and Controls
As part of our safety efforts, the following applies:
Alcohol and drug testing is conducted before employment
Random alcohol and drug testing occurs regularly during employment
Certificate from the Police's criminal record registry is required upon employment
