We are looking for an experienced and driven Business Controller who thrives working close to our operations. Would you like to help us develop our Power BI reporting and our work processes? Then you could become an important part of our team at Norconsult!
You will be employed by us at Norconsult in a temporary position running from October 19, 2026 through May 31, 2027, with a possible opportunity for extension. The position is located at our office in central Stockholm.
As a temporary Business Controller, you will be part of Controlling in Sweden and work closely with our operations leaders on follow-up, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also take a driving role in developing Power BI reporting and streamlining processes, including through the use of AI and other digital tools.
You will be responsible for tracking one division and serve as its natural contact person for financial follow-up and analysis. The role involves close collaboration with division and department heads as well as with other parts of finance and IT.
Your main responsibilities:
· Manage monthly follow-up, analysis, reporting, and decision-making support for your division.
· Support division and department heads in financial management and operations-focused analysis.
· Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor actual results against plan.
· Drive the development of reporting and analysis in Power BI, from operational needs to user-friendly reports.
· Drive improvements and more efficient work processes, including through the use of AI and other digital tools.
Your Profile
We are looking for you—a confident and analytical Business Controller with a strong focus on operations. You thrive on taking initiative and turning needs into practical solutions. With a strong drive for development and improvement, you actively contribute to creating results together with different parts of the organization. With your communication skills, you can clearly and pedagogically translate numbers and analyses into insights that support your operations' decisions and development.
We see that you have:
· Relevant academic education in economics or equivalent.
· Documented experience developing reports in Power BI and solutions in Power Query.
· Several years of experience with independent work in Business Control, financial management, or qualified controller work.
· Good experience with monthly follow-up, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
· Excellent skills in Excel and experience working with large datasets.
· Ability to independently drive the development of reporting and process improvement.
It is advantageous if you have:
· Experience with IBM Planning Analytics or similar planning and reporting systems.
· Experience with Deltek Maconomy or work in a larger international organization.
