About the operation Within Region Västernorrland, approximately 8 BT blocks are being filled in spring 2027 with 12-month employment. We recruit medical doctors (BT) with the region's future competence supply in focus, and as a BT doctor you are important to us. Our ambition is for you to develop in your BT service and also after completing BT to want to continue being one of us at Region Västernorrland. With us, you can apply for BT at one of our three locations: Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik or Sollefteå. We offer a developmental BT that is well-prepared for specialist service. We also have one of Sweden's highest BT salaries. If you live outside Västernorrland and need to move to do BT with us, we offer relocation allowance up to 20,000kr. BT in Region Västernorrland consists of 12 months of service divided into acute care (17 weeks), psychiatry (10 weeks) and general medicine (17 weeks). You also have the opportunity to extend your service with two weeks of elective placement. For BT doctors in Örnsköldsvik with acute placement in Surgery/Orthopedics, an ATLS course is offered. The BT position begins with joint introduction and training 2027-02-22 - 2027-03-07 (weeks 8-9). Beyond that, employment continues with clinical placement either week 10 or week 24. In your application, we want you to enclose a CV and personal letter, where you state why you are applying to our region and at which location you primarily wish to do your BT. If you have served under supervision in Region Västernorrland and want to have part of your service time credited, supporting documentation for this should also be included in your application. For those of you who move forward in the process, we will request an extract from the police's criminal record register; it is advantageous to have this ready at a possible interview.
