About the role Foundation training includes mandatory placements in primary care, acute care, and psychiatry (total 12 months). In addition, 3 weeks in an optional placement are offered. As a foundation doctor with us, you will have an individual and structured training plan. You will have a primary supervisor who follows you throughout your entire training post and a supervisor for each placement who works closely with you. You will participate in joint training sessions and seminars with other foundation doctors and senior house officers. You will also have the opportunity to attend foundation/senior house officer conferences. About you We are looking for someone who has completed a qualifying medical degree from a country other than Sweden and has not completed Swedish general training (AT). To be able to apply for foundation training in Region Blekinge, you must have obtained Swedish medical registration from the National Board of Health and Welfare. For this position, you are required to be able to express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing, equivalent to C1 level. It is meritious to have professional experience as a junior doctor, both before and after graduation, particularly in Sweden and preferably in Region Blekinge. We see foundation training as the first step toward future specialist training (ST) in Region Blekinge. We are looking for someone who places the patient at the center, is responsible and confident, and contributes to effective teamwork. You have solid medical knowledge and understanding of when you need to consult colleagues. Patient safety is a given for you, and you take advantage of opportunities for improvement work and development. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Region Blekinge conducts security clearance procedures for all permanent staff. Some of our positions are classified as security-sensitive where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
