Do you want to work with issues that contribute to a safe, secure, and resilient society? We are seeking a combined position as Crime Prevention Coordinator (50%) and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator (50%) where you will have the opportunity to develop and coordinate the municipality's work in safety, crime prevention, emergency preparedness, and civil defense. In this role, you will work both strategically and operatively to strengthen the municipality's ability to prevent crime, create safety, and manage crises and societal disturbances. The assignment involves close collaboration with municipal services, the Police Authority, the region, the business sector, civil society, and other external actors. You will support municipal services by developing and analyzing situation reports, identifying needs and development areas, and translating analyses into concrete measures. The work covers both the crime prevention area and the municipality's work in emergency preparedness and civil defense. The position is placed within the Security Protection and Preparedness unit and offers a varied, developmental, and socially important assignment where you will have the opportunity to make a difference for the municipality's residents and services. The position may be included in the municipality's crisis and war organization. The position may be placed in a security classification. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As Crime Prevention Coordinator and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, you have a central role in the municipality's work for safety, security, civil defense, and preparedness. The assignment is based on the Act on Municipal Responsibility for Crime Prevention Work and the municipality's responsibility in emergency preparedness and civil defense. You are responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring the municipality's systematic work in these areas. The work includes, among other things: • Coordinate the municipality's crime prevention and safety-creating work. • Support the municipality's work in emergency preparedness and civil defense. • Develop, analyze, and present situation reports and decision-making materials. • Identify development areas and propose measures based on analyses and current knowledge. • Coordinate and monitor the municipality's crime prevention action plan and other governing documents in the preparedness area. • Participate in risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, exercises, and training. • Prepare matters and present issues for municipal management, committees, and other decision-making forums. • Coordinate collaboration with authorities, municipal services, the business sector, and civil society. • Monitor external developments and contribute to developing the municipality's work based on current research, national guidelines, and proven methods. You will be an important support for managers, services, and elected representatives on issues related to safety, crime prevention, emergency preparedness, and civil defense. QUALIFICATIONS You should have: • Academic degree in criminology, behavioral science, political science, sociology, law, social sciences, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. • Experience working in crime prevention, safety-creating work, emergency preparedness, civil defense, or related areas. • Experience with collaboration between different services and organizations. • Good analytical skills and experience working with statistics, situation reports, and investigations. • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. B-class driver's license. It is meritious if you have: • Experience working in a municipality, region, government agency, or other public service. • Experience in crime prevention and safety-creating work. • Experience in emergency preparedness, civil defense, or security work. • Knowledge of the Act on Municipal Responsibility for Crime Prevention Work and legislation in emergency preparedness and civil defense. • Experience with EST (Effective Coordination for Safety), SSPF, SIG, or similar collaboration models. • Experience with risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, or crisis management. • Experience in project management, change work, or development of governing documents and processes. • Knowledge of organized crime, welfare crime, or unlawful influence. • Experience collaborating with volunteer organizations, the business sector, the County Administrative Board, or other actors in the preparedness area. You express yourself well in speech and writing and actively contribute to a good work environment and help the work group achieve its common goals. Employment form: Permanent employment.
