About Brismottagningen in Malmö Bris reception centers are located in several places throughout the country and offer children and young people individually tailored support, both individually and in groups. At the reception centers, social workers/curators work on behalf of children and based on the child's needs. In Malmö, operations are also conducted with the Independent Child Ombudsman. By establishing a pilot program with an independent child ombudsman, we strengthen our support chain and provide more children with access to support, participation, and guidance to ensure children's rights. About the Position As a social worker at Bris, you will work directly with children, parents, and professionals. You will do this by offering counseling support to children, young people, and their networks. Support is provided on behalf of children and young people. At Brismottagningen, group support is also offered to children in vulnerable life situations, and when needed, you will assist the child in existing and new contacts with authorities. You will also work with knowledge-raising initiatives through training, lectures, and collaboration with professionals, municipalities, authorities, and civil society organizations. An important part of the assignment is to build relationships and spread knowledge about Bris's activities, children's rights, and children's living conditions. As part of the role, you will also work within Bris's activities with the Independent Child Ombudsman, the National Board of Health and Welfare's pilot program aimed at strengthening children's participation and access to their rights in contact with society's various support and authority functions. Children who have extensive support needs often describe that they are not listened to or taken seriously. Through the independent child ombudsman program, the child gains access to an adult who acts on the child's behalf, strengthens the child's participation, and helps the child navigate contact with authorities and other societal actors. In the role, you work to ensure that the child's voice is heard and that the child's rights are upheld. The role is broad and varied, which requires flexibility and the ability to shift between support measures, development work, and collaboration. You work closely with colleagues in Malmö and collaborate with staff throughout the country. You report to the regional manager, and the position involves evening and some weekend work as well as travel. Who Are You? Therefore, it is important that you are confident in your profession, have good collaboration skills, and appreciate contributing to a shared mission where the child's best interests are in focus. To succeed in the role, you need to be relationship-building, communicative, and attentive. You are unpretentious, curious, and flexible in your approach and have the ability to create trusting relationships with children, young people, and adults. We are looking for someone who Is trained as a social worker. Has experience with support measures for children, young people, and their families. Has documented experience with support conversations with children. Has good knowledge of children in crisis and children's rights. Has experience working within social services or other relevant child and youth activities. Has good knowledge of society's support and welfare systems and experience collaborating with various authorities. Has experience conducting training, lectures, or other knowledge-raising initiatives. Expresses yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Holds a B-class driver's license and is an experienced driver. It is meritorious if you have Experience with group-focused support for children and young people. Experience supporting children in contacts with authorities and societal actors. Experience with strategic development work. Experience from the nonprofit sector or civil society organizations. Postgraduate education in psychosocial work or another relevant field. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Good to Know About the Position The position is full-time. The position is a fixed-term employment for one year starting December 2026 or as soon as possible. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Placement is at Brismottagningen in Malmö. The position involves evening and some weekend work as well as travel. You have goal-oriented working hours.
