About the Job The National Council for Crime Prevention (Brå) is seeking an assistant to be placed in the unit for research on economic and organized crime (EkoOrg). You will mainly work on a research project examining how criminal actors use companies in criminal activities and how shell companies, false identities, and other arrangements can be used to conceal who practically controls or manages the companies. As an assistant, you will support the project's data collection and processing. The project uses several different types of materials and data sources, and your tasks may include: - transcribing interviews - structuring, coding, and compiling qualitative material, such as interviews, official documents, court decisions, and preliminary investigation materials - collecting, structuring, and compiling information from registers, documents, and other digital sources - processing, quality assuring, and compiling data - conducting literature and information searches - performing simple quantitative processing and compilations. Depending on your expertise and project needs, the work may also involve using programming or other digital tools to collect, structure, and process data. Your Education and Experience We are looking for someone who has: - university education with a social science orientation - very strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing - experience structuring and processing large amounts of information or data, preferably using programming or other tools for data collection and processing, such as Python, R, or equivalent. It is meritorious if you have: - experience transcribing interviews - knowledge of the justice system and control and supervisory authorities. Your Personal Qualities To perform well in this role, you need to be curious, proactive, and have very strong analytical and writing skills. You need to be able to take independent responsibility for your tasks while also collaborating closely with other project members and cooperating authorities in the control and justice chain. The work requires you to be methodical, thorough, and persistent, even during periods with repetitive tasks. You also need to be unpretentious, have good judgment, and be able to interact with both colleagues and external contacts in a professional manner. Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities and abilities. Terms of Employment The position is a fixed-term employment with immediate start, full-time, and limited to one year.
