Program Information Professionals Nord is now launching this successful program again in collaboration with Satellite Group. This time with a new and exciting focus! Through our initiative, we're shaping the next generation of Signal Technicians, and you can be one of them. During the introduction period with Satellite Group, you'll develop the skills required to quickly become confident and self-assured in your role as a Signal Technician. This initiative is a close collaboration between Professionals Nord and FlexiRail. After completing the program, you'll be employed by Professionals Nord, and during the first 18 months, you'll work as a consultant for our client FlexiRail. Introduction Period Information The introduction period is based on the Accelerated Learning method, where shorter theoretical sections are combined with practical components to give you all the tools you need to succeed in the role. You'll be introduced to a range of technical and safety-related areas for working with railway signal systems. During the period, you'll develop skills in: Basic electrical systems Safety, standards, and regulations for railway work Signal technology Switches and track locks Cable routing Basic terms and symbols We offer the opportunity for study loans throughout the entire introduction period. Timeline Kickoff event: January 11 Introduction: January 11 – April 9, 2027 (including practical training) First day at FlexiRail: April 12, 2027 Scope: Full-time Location during intro: Bromma and Ängelholm Work location: Nyköping Job Information FlexiRail is a railway contractor with extensive experience in operation, maintenance, and renovation and new construction of railway facilities. The company has broad expertise in railway infrastructure and works with a strong focus on safety, quality, environment, and work environment. You'll be working within FlexiRail's operations and maintenance contract in Nyköping. The work includes both preventive and corrective maintenance on platforms and in track areas. The position involves primarily outdoor work during daytime on weekdays, but night and weekend work occurs. You'll also be part of a rotating on-call schedule. Since the work is carried out over a larger geographical area, you need to be comfortable driving a car for work purposes, as some work days may involve many miles behind the wheel. As a Signal Technician, you're responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of railway signal systems. You ensure that signals, switches, and other safety systems function correctly and thereby contribute to safe and efficient train movements. The role also includes system integration, documentation of completed work, and working in compliance with applicable safety regulations. You work both independently and together with colleagues, with a focus on high quality and safety in critical societal infrastructure. Your tasks will include: Troubleshooting and fault-finding for railway problems Repair of faulty or worn components Performing preventive maintenance proactively Documentation and reporting of completed work We're Looking for You If You Are at least 18 years old Have a high school diploma Hold a B-class driver's license Speak and write Swedish fluently Are technically inclined and enjoy working both outdoors and physically!
