This time with a new and exciting focus! Through our initiative, we are shaping the next generation of signal technicians, and you can be one of them. During the introductory period with Satellite Group, you'll develop the skills required to quickly become confident and self-assured in your role as a signal technician. The initiative is a close collaboration between Professionals Nord and BDX Rail. After completing the program, you'll be employed by us at Professionals Nord, and during the first 18 months you'll work as a consultant for our client BDX. Provided the collaboration has gone well, the aim and intention is continued employment with BDX. We know from experience that your personal qualities determine your success. Introductory Period Information The introductory period is based on the Accelerated Learning method, where shorter theoretical sections are combined with practical elements to give you all the tools you need to succeed in the role. You'll be introduced to a range of technical and safety-related areas for working with railway signal systems. During the period you'll develop skills in: Basic electrical systems Safety, standards, and regulations for railway work Signal technology Switches and track locks Cable installation Basic terms and symbols We offer the opportunity for study loans throughout the introductory period. Timeline Training: January 11 – April 9, 2027 (including practical work) First day at Infranord: April 12, 2027 Scope: Full-time Location during intro: Bromma and Ängelholm Work location: Luleå The recruitment process is handled by Professionals Nord and BDX's wish is that all questions regarding the position go to [email protected] Job Information BDX Rail is one of northern Sweden's largest railway companies, active in both operations and maintenance as well as new investment projects. You'll work with BDX maintenance contracts for the southern and northern Malmberget Railway. The work includes both preventive and corrective maintenance on platforms and track areas. The position involves outdoor work and you'll primarily work day shifts on weekdays, but the opportunity to work 7/7 shifts is also available. Night work and weekend work occur, and you have standby according to a rotating schedule. Since the work is performed over a larger geographic area, you need to be comfortable driving a car as part of your work, as some days may involve many miles behind the wheel. As a signal technician, you're responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the railway's signal systems. You ensure that signals, switches, and other safety systems function correctly to guarantee safe and efficient train movements. The role also includes working with system integration, following safety regulations, and documenting completed work. You'll work both independently and in pairs, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards in a critical part of railway infrastructure. Your work tasks will include: Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis when problems occur on the railway Repair of faulty or worn components Performing preventive maintenance proactively Documentation and reporting of work completed We're Looking for You If You Are at least 18 years old Have a high school diploma Hold a valid driver's license (category B) Speak and write Swedish fluently Are technically inclined and enjoy working both outdoors and with your hands Have passed the required tests (MAP & Matrigma) Have received medical clearance (Arranged by PN for final candidates) We believe that your personal qualities are crucial to how well you'll thrive during the introduction period and in your role as a signal technician at BDX Rail.
