Program Information Professionals Nord is now launching this successful program again in collaboration with Satellite Group. This time with a new and exciting focus! Through our initiative, we are shaping the next generation of Signal Technicians, and you can be one of them. During the introductory period via Satellite Group, you will develop the skills required to quickly become confident and self-assured in the role of Signal Technician. The initiative is a close collaboration between Professionals Nord and Infranord. After completing the program, you will be employed by Professionals Nord, and during the first 18 months you will work as a consultant for our client Infranord. Provided that the collaboration has worked well, the goal and intention is continued employment at Infranord. We know from experience that it is your personal qualities that determine your success. Introductory Period Information The introductory period is based on the Accelerated Learning method, where shorter theoretical components are combined with practical elements to give you all the tools you need to succeed in the role. You will be introduced to a range of technical and safety-related areas to work with railway system signal systems. During the period, you will develop within the following areas: Basic Electrical Safety, Standards, and Regulations for Railway Work Signal Technology Switches and Derails Cable Installation Basic Terms and Symbols We offer the opportunity for study loans throughout the introductory period. Timeline Kickoff event: January 11 Introduction: January 11 – April 9, 2027 (including practical training) First day at Infranord: April 12, 2027 Scope: Full-time Location during intro: Bromma and Ängelholm Work location: Herrljunga or Stenkullen Job Information Infranord is one of Sweden's largest railway contractors. They primarily work on building, maintaining, and developing railway infrastructure, including tracks/roadbeds, electrical power, signal, and telecommunications. They perform both routine maintenance of existing railway facilities and major new and renovation projects in Sweden and Norway. You will work with Infranord's operations and maintenance contract in Malmö. The work includes both preventive and corrective maintenance on platforms and track areas. The position involves outdoor work and you primarily work daytime on weekdays. Nighttime and weekend work occur, and you maintain on-call availability according to a rotating schedule. Since the work is performed over a larger geographical area, you need to be comfortable driving a car as part of your work, as some days may involve many miles behind the wheel. As a Signal Technician, you are responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the railway's signal systems. You ensure that signals, switches, and other safety systems function correctly to guarantee safe and efficient train movements. The role also includes working with system integration, following safety regulations, and documenting completed work. You will work both independently and in pairs, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards in a critical part of railway infrastructure. Your work tasks will include, among others: Troubleshooting and problem-solving when issues arise on the railway Repair of faulty or worn components Perform preventive maintenance proactively Documentation and reporting of completed work We Are Looking for You Who Have reached 18 years of age Have a high school diploma Hold a B-category driver's license Speak and write Swedish fluently Are technically inclined and enjoy working both outdoors and with your hands!
