Program Information Professionals Nord is launching this successful program again in collaboration with Satellite Group. This time with a new and exciting focus! Through our initiative, we shape the next generation of Signal Technicians, and you can be one of them. During the introductory period with Satellite Group, you'll develop the skills required to quickly become confident and self-assured in the role of Signal Technician. The initiative is a close collaboration between Professionals Nord and Infranord. After completing the program, you'll be employed by us at Professionals Nord, and during the first 18 months, you'll work as a consultant for our customer Infranord. Introductory Period Information The introductory period is built on the Accelerated Learning method, where shorter theoretical sessions are combined with practical tasks to give you all the tools you need to succeed in the role. You'll be introduced to a range of technical and safety-related areas for working with railway system signal systems. During the period, you'll develop skills in: Basic Electrical Work Safety, standards, and regulations for work on the railway Signal Technology Switches and track locks Cable routing Basic terms and symbols We offer the opportunity for student loans throughout the introductory period. Timeline Kickoff event: January 11th Introduction: January 11th – April 9th, 2027 (including internship) First day at Infranord: April 12th, 2027 Scope: Full-time Location during intro: Bromma and Ängelholm Work location: Hallsberg Position Information Infranord is one of Sweden's largest railway contractors. They primarily work with building, maintaining, and developing railway infrastructure, such as tracks/rails, power, signaling, and telecommunications. They perform both ongoing maintenance of existing railway facilities and larger new construction and renovation projects in Sweden and Norway. You'll work with Infranord's operations and maintenance contract in Hallsberg. The work includes both preventive and corrective maintenance on platforms and track areas. The position involves outdoor work, and you'll primarily work daytime on weekdays. Night work and weekend work occur occasionally. Since the work is performed over a larger geographic area, you need to be comfortable driving a car for work, as some days may involve many hours behind the wheel. As a Signal Technician, you're responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the railway's signal system. You ensure that signals, switches, and other safety systems function correctly to guarantee safe and efficient train movements. The role also includes working with system integration, following safety regulations, and documenting completed work. You'll work both independently and in pairs, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards in a critical part of railway infrastructure. Your work tasks will include: Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems on the railway Repairing faulty or worn components Performing preventive maintenance proactively Documentation and reporting of work performed We're Looking for You If You Are at least 18 years old Have a high school diploma Hold a Class B driver's license Speak and write Swedish fluently Are technically minded and enjoy working both outdoors and with your hands!
